Title: Technical Support Engineer
Skills: Database and Development Technologies, 4GL and Web (XML, Java, SOAP)
Job Description:
Unify is a global provider of application modernization software. We’re experiencing an exciting growth in our software business and want you to be part of it. As a Technical Support Engineer you’ll have an opportunity to excel by keeping in touch with customers and partners all over the world while helping them improve their business.
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of software development
- Familiarity with different database technologies
- Knowledge of Web architecture and base technologies: Java, Web Services, XML, SOAP
Ideal Requirements:
- Experience with Unify’s Team Developer, SQLBase, NXJ and databases
- Understanding of Oracle, SQL Server and Sybase features from a developer’s standpoint
- SQL, Java, C#, C++, HTML, XML proficiency
- Knowledge of SVN Source Control system
Key Work Performed:
You will provide day-by-day support and work closely with the development team by creating test cases, providing solutions and writing technical papers to assure customer satisfaction. You’ll also collaborate with the sales team and the rest of Tech Support by developing applications, debugging, testing, fixing bugs, patching products and providing both technical and business information to the customer base
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
Experience:
1-3 years of IT experience in different technologies.
Skills and Abilities/ Competencies:
- You must be a quick learner and have good communication skills
- Ability to clearly express technical concepts in business terms
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in new computing architectures and platforms
- Proactive attitude and open to new challenges
