Crump Sabertooth Success Story Crump Insurance Services, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a multi-line wholesale insurance brokerage group covering the excess, surplus and specialty insurance marketplace. In 2007, Crump was ranked the #1 wholesaler in America by Business Insurance Magazine. Crump Insurance had a brokerage application custom developed several years ago on SQLWindows (Team Developer) 16-bit technology with approximately 125,000 lines of code. Years later, Crump found that the application required a significant amount of maintenance, often ran into performance issues, and as a 16-bit system, had become technologically obsolete. Sabertooth was used to convert 125,000 lines of code to 100 percent .NET. By migrating the application, rather than porting it, Crump was able to leverage its team of .NET programmers to optimize, extend and maintain the converted code. The Sabertooth team delivered a turnkey solution that also included full debugging, unit testing, functional testing and was ready for user acceptance testing within six months from the start of the project. Read more on the Unify website. Read more about Sabertooth.

To increase the velocity of doing business within an organization, across organizations and even between companies, businesses have begun to deploy information systems that automate their critical business processes. These information systems do more than just application-to-application integration or workflow management. These systems combine human-to-human, system-to-system, and human-to-system activities into an integrated system, resulting in an automated representation of the business processes from end to end. In this type of “people centric” process automation system, the human participants (that is, people) must have access to a rich set of information so they can perform their decision-making or transactional tasks. Robust, flexible and universally compatible, Unify NXJ Enterprise Business Process management is the perfect solution for creating a connected business and ensuring business processes are automated for seamless delivery of information and transactions. Unify NXJ Enterprise Business Process Management enables web services orchestration, business process management and workflow automation in a platform neutral environment. NXJ Enterprise BPM in conjunction with NXJ Reporting, NXJ Portal Integration and NXJ Forms Processing and Application Integration will provide your firm the complete platform solution to meet the demanding and ever changing requirements of your business. The image below shows a typical example of a business process with various roles involved to complete the process. NXJ Enterprise BPM Designer lets you define the workflow graphically and immediately assign roles to the single execution steps. Such that you not only define the single process steps including their execution conditions but you also define the user group right away that will be responsible for executing a process step. The Order fulfillment process – a typical process automation scenario. NXJ Enterprise provides a BPM framework for the developer that allows to use the prebuilt process and roles functionality at a high level without the need of doing any low level user authorization or other low level development. The NXJ Enterprise Process Modeler allows an analyst or developer to graphically design business processes. |
