Customer Events & Happenings Two prominent, private Universities in Lima, Peru - the Universidad San Martin de Porras and the Universidad Ricardo Palma - will be teaming with Unify to use NXJ and Team Developer in their labs. Under these new programs, students will use NXJ and Team Developer to be exposed to and learn both Java Web development and Windows-based application development as part of their academic curriculum. Upon completion of their syllabus, students will become certified in Team Developer and NXJ development. Unify continues to see growing momentum and opportunities for NXJ throughout Latin America. Having signed more than five new partners in the past year, launched the first NXJ Development Training Center in Brazil with Triad Systems, and opened a Unify office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Unify is deepening its penetration in the region by providing easy to use, easy to deploy and cost effective development tools for Java, Web and Windows applications. Unify’s Finland DevCon and UK User Group were attended by over 60 delegates. Based on the survey results received, both events were extremely positive with overwhelming feedback that Unify’s roadmap plans for all product lines were spot on. Team Developer users look forward to implementing the new features of 5.1/5.2 and were reassured and excited about our plans for TD 6.0 (.NET). SQLBase users were happy to see the new features of SQLBase 11.5 such as Unicode and SMP support, as well as see performance increases when they upgraded to later versions of SQLBase! Both events were interactive and allowed delegates to make feature requests and help influence our future roadmap plans. One-hundred percent of those surveyed commented that they would like to see these meetings repeated on at least an annual basis. Special thanks to Helmut Reimann and Nocom Software for the Finland DevCon and Martin Teetz and Henri Cajal for the UK User Group meeting. Editor’s Note: Unify hosts over 8 DevCons around the globe each year in addition to a number of User Group meetings and Customer Roadshows and events. Check the Unify website for future events near you. Canada DevCons Unify presented two DevCon days in Canada hosted by its Canadian distributor UMS. Both were a great success! Highlights from the conference include: In addition, there were presentations from Unify management highlighting the company overview, product strategy and direction for the future. Special thanks go to UMS for organizing and hosting the events and the biggest thanks go to all the attendees who travelled near and far to participate. Your contribution made the events enjoyable and productive and we look forward to seeing you again in 2010! |
