Bridge Existing Applications and Web Technologies

ACCELL/Web bridges your existing applications and Web technologies by combining ACCELL/SQL applications with the latest Internet and Java technologies. ACCELL/Web allows ACCELL/SQL forms to be translated into JavaServer Pages (JSP). The generated JSP-based forms are fully functional and provide application functionality that is virtually identical to that of ACCELL/SQL. ACCELL/Web consists of:

ACCELL/Web Developer - provides the ability to create Web applications using the business rules and functionality of existing ACCELL/SQL applications.

ACCELL/Web Conversion Utility - quickly and simply translates existing application forms into JSP Web pages.

ACCELL/Web Application Server - provides the ability to run web applications by communicating with the ACCELL/Web Servlet interface while maintaining all of the functionality and business rules of the original ACCELL/SQL application. A Java servlet engine is embedded in ACCELL/Web and runs the ACCELL/Web communications servlet. The ACCELL/Web Servlet interacts with a user's Web browser and translates all information from the browser to the ACCELL/Web Application Server, and then back to the user's browser.

RPT/Web - provides the ability to display or download existing RPT reports to a Web browser. RPT/Web utilizes existing RPT scripts and produces optional outputs of Indexed HTML, Comma Separate Value (CSV) and PDF documents. The HTML output is served to the browser and provides automatic table of content with pagination and searching. The CSV report is automatically downloaded and imported into local spreadsheet applications. The PDF document allows the user to print a copy of the report on a local printer.
