Unify uCool - Report Archiving Key Features
Securely store, manage and distribute knowledge across your organization
Formatting:
The original data is analyzed, and a format template is assigned. A document template is created containing information such as the date of record, filename, and file description and target folder.
Recording:
Document and format templates are used to interpret and record the information. The information is categorized for retention, compressed, and automatically indexed.
Multiple Data Sources:
uCool can archive data from most Operating Systems and applications. Format templates are supplied out of the box to handle Windows, Mainframe, UNIX, Linux, and Desktop applications, in EBCDIC, PDF, AFP, HTML, XML and other formats.
Overlays:
Form Overlays combine lines, shapes, text, and bitmaps to emulate paper documents for viewing and printing.
Compression:
The data is compressed using logical segments. On retrieval, data is retrieved selectively, without the need to decompress an entire report.
Indexing & Searching:
Index fields point to logical segments of a report, for example targeting a single line item of an invoice. Users can use indexes to locate desired information quickly and efficiently across multiple reports.
Viewer:
Browser based viewer access makes Information available Enterprise wide.
XML Factory:
Historic data from legacy and operational systems can be retrieved in XML format. When integrated with web services, information from different source applications can be joined to provide new business knowledge.
APIs:
A rich API set allows end users and partners to create customized solutions for their particular needs.
Distributed Administration:
Administration can be distributed.
