Unify Q - Technical Advantages
Database Connectivity
Users using Q will benefit from high performance relational database connectivity when accessing SQLBase, Oracle and SQL Server databases.
For other databases, Unify Q offers ODBC connectivity.
Configuring database connections from within Q is very easy and straightforward. Q displays an array of available database connections found
on the computer in use. The user will need to provide a username and password to connect to any of these databases. No complicated sql.ini editing
and connection configuration is necessary to get going.
Supported databases:
- SQLBase 11, SQLBase 11.5
- Oracle 10g, 11g
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008
- ODBC
Technical Specifications
Unify Q supports the latest Windows 7 releases and runs on 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows.

Full Edition and Read-only Versions
Upon installation of Q, administrators can set Unify Q to read-only mode, disallowing changes to databases Q has access to. Users using the
read-only version of Unify Q can only view data and cannot change data or add data to the databases they have access to, even if the database
rights to modify data do exist for the user.
Advanced users get all the power they need to get their complex data management tasks done, from powerful Queries, Reports, data import and
export to full sql access.
