Rich Database Support

Easy and Powerful Formatting

Select an entire block or multiple objects and assign properties in one single step. For example, set font attributes to a group in one single step.

Flexibility in Query Definition
Auto-Scroll is an easy, fast tool for selecting columns and removes the need to scroll with a mouse. Simply type the initial characters of a column name and automatically scroll to right position. The column data type is displayed in the table and the column selection dialog. This makes it easy to understand what columns contain what data, and speeds up the query definition process.

Many database servers support lower case table definitions. With Report Builder 2005.1 table names can be entered in lower case.

Report Formula Housekeeping
Reports can multiply and become complex over time as new data is required, requiring new formulas. The new Report Builder 2005.1 supports report housekeeping. Report housekeeping is an easy way to detect formulas that are no longer in use. To delete the unused formulas you simply select the formulas that are not in use in the report dialog and then delete.
