SQLBase Licensing Options
SQLBase Desktop
SQLBase Desktop is the single-user database for application development. It
includes all database connectivity necessary for database application
development like the .NET Data Provider, OLE DB provider, ODBC driver for
Windows and Linux, JDBC driver and a native C-API available for Windows and
Linux. The Linux ODBC driver can be used to create data driven PHP web
applications. Team Developer includes a development license of SQLBase.
Small Volume Deployment Licenses
SQLBase Desktop
SQLBase Desktop is the low volume deployment option for single-user desktop
databases. SQLBase Desktop is available in packages of 1 and 5 machines.
SQLBase Server for Windows
SQLBase Server for Windows is the retail version of SQLBase for multi-user
servers on Windows. SQLBase Server for Windows is available in 5, 10, 15, 20,
25, 30, 40, 50 and Open Server configurations. Capacity upgrades are available
to upgrade to a higher number of users.
SQLBase for Linux
SQLBase Server for Linux is the retail version of SQLBase for multi-user
servers on Linux. SQLBase Server for Linux is available in 5, 10, 15, 20, 25
and Open Server configurations. Capacity upgrades are available to upgrade to a
higher number of users.
SQLBase Open Server needs to be licensed for use with Web Applications or mixed
Web and Client/Server applications for the platform of choice - either Windows
or Linux. Customers need the Open Server license for these scenarios as the
amount of users in Web applications is not predictable.
Large Volume Deployment Licenses
SQLBase EDP
The SQLBase EDP is the high volume SQLBase deployment option. The SQLBase EDP
is available in any user configuration between 50 and 1000 seats (for
additional seats, please contact GUPTA or your local reseller). The SQLBase EDP
allows you to include the SQLBase deployment files into custom application
installers. For example, a VAR can create one installer for his vertical
application and the included SQLBase, which will reduce maintenance and support
for the deployment of vertical applications. SQLBase EDP also includes a tool
that configures SQLBase Server to any amount of concurrent users, such as: 7,
13, and 27. SQLBase EDP products are available for Windows and Linux platforms.
