Composer for Lotus Notes Delivers Like-for-Like Migration of Lotus Notes Applications to the Microsoft platform
Composer for Lotus Notes is a solution for cost-effective, Like-for-Like migrations
of business critical Lotus Notes applications. By preserving the User Interface
and Business Logic/Workflow (including LotusScript), Composer enables the rapid
adoption of the Microsoft platform without business disruption. The migration of
Notes applications enables customers to choose and deploy the complete Microsoft
platform, including ASP.NET, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server.
Composer not only provides a like-for-like migration to the Microsoft stack, but
it automates most of the conversion process. Thus, little to no additional coding
is required, delivering results rapidly, and reducing the requirements placed on
IT resources. As a result, most Composer migration projects take significantly less
time at substantially less risk that a re-write effort.
With Composer, Lotus Notes applications are decomposed and re-assembled:
- Data from the Lotus Notes application is migrated into a normalized SQL Server database
- Business logic is restructured as C# Web Services in Visual Studio
- User Interface is transformed into SharePoint Lists, Web Parts and ASP.NET applications
- ACL security is mapped into the Microsoft Active Directory Services
