Comprehensive migration of all Lotus Notes applications to relational databases and J2EE

Composer is a services engagement for migrating complex Lotus Notes applications to the Java platform. Only Unify provides a comprehensive migration for the complex, workflow-centric Lotus Notes applications in addition to the less intricate, yet pervasive, Lotus Notes template-based applications. Composer migrates applications to the new software environment in about half the time of a rewrite effort.

Unify uses a comprehensive Assessment, Migration, and Optimization process for the application migration and modernization. Delivered to the client is a tested, production-ready application, in the new Java environment. The migrated application will have a user interface (UI) identical to the existing application which increases end-user adoption and reduces the need for training.

With Composer Java Edition, Lotus Notes applications are decomposed and re-assembled:

  • Data from the Lotus Notes application is migrated into a normalized SQL database.
  • Business logic is restructured as Java Web Services in Eclipse
  • User Interface is transformed into JSP Rich Internet applications

Upon completion of the migration, Composer customers have an option to work with Unify or a certified Partner of choice to extend and integrate the newly migrated application into the existing technology infrastructure.
