It is easy to give your existing Team Developer applications a modern look. Just upgrade to Team Developer 5.1, load your applications, set your preferred GUI theme, compile and you are done.

New useful GUI controls

Several new controls make the life of users and programmers easier.
 For example the new date and date/time pickers allow users to select a date by clicking on the desired day of the month.
A developer drops this control onto his Windows and does not need to create any own intelligence for the control to work.
Other available new controls are an Office 2007 type Ribbon Bar, a new tab control and a new grid control. The new grid control uses SalTblPopulate() and similar functions for database interaction.

New Powerful Web Services Consumer

Participate in a SOA world, consume Web Services to integrate applications and services.
 Just select the WSDL Web Service definition file and have Team Developer create an interfacing class for you.

Have the Team Developer Web Services Wizard walk you through the necessary steps for the generation of the Web Services interface class. No need for any low level XML or HTTP programming. Just call the Web Service as if it is a local function call.

UNICODE support for truly globalized applications

Increase your market opportunity by selling your applications to any market in the world, without language barriers.
 UNICODE support enables applications to display characters of any language worldwide. The new Team Developer 5.1 database connectivity supports UNICODE on the database access level,

so you can leverage SQLBase International or other UNICODE enabled databases without the need of characterset conversions or other requirements to support local settings.

Database routers revived

Team Developer 5.1 reintroduces the customer requested database routers!
 The new database routers provide high performance database access for the following databases:

  • SQLBase International and SQLBase 11
  • Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g
  • SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005
  • Sybase 12.5 and Sybase ASE 15
  • Informix 9.4
  • ODBC
  • OLE DB

New Report Builder for better reports than ever

Easily share your reports using the new PDF export option.

Report Builder 5.1 comes in a brand new outfit allowing you to chose from a list of available GUI themes. The new PDF export feature is a powerful collaboration feature. Share your reports with those that need insight in your data. Just send everybody a copy of the report PDF.

Increased Application size limits

Team Developer 5.1 allow for significantly increased application size limits wherever possible. This allows you to manage very large applications without having to create work arounds.
