Unify Placed on U.S. Department of Defense Approved Products List for OpenScape Voice Solution
Rigorous testing process affirms OpenScape Voice offers exceptional interoperability, reliability and security
Unify, the Atos brand for communications software and services, today announced its OpenScape Voice platform has been tested for interoperability and information assurance (IA) by the U.S. Department of Defense Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) and recommended for inclusion on the U. S. Department of Defense Approved Products List (APL) by the Defense Information Systems Agency.
This placement means that OpenScape Voice was successfully tested and evaluated against strict interoperability, availability, and cyber security requirements. OpenScape Voice is a carrier-grade enterprise communication solution, scalable up to 100,000 users per system. It delivers superior security capabilities, including Assured Services SIP (AS-SIP), the standard signaling protocol used within the U.S. Department of Defense, and cyber security features as required by the Department of Defense, which are also critical features for public sector, healthcare and financial services customers.
As organizations around the world transition to an IP infrastructure, addressing issues of cyber security and interoperability with existing and other network components is at the forefront of the conversation. Placement on the APL will mitigate those concerns by highlighting that Unify’s OpenScape Voice has successfully completed rigorous testing and is capable of supporting mission-critical communications within mixed vendor environments and to the highest security requirements.

OpenScape Voice was tested for both physical and virtual environments, with five nines availability, the highest possible availability. Additionally, OpenScape Voice was IPv6 placed on the APL with no exceptions. Testing on the OpenScape Voice solution was successfully performed by JITC-led Information Assurance Teams and Defense Information System Agency (DISA) RME reviewed and approved. The Interoperability Testing was conducted by the JITC Global Information Grid Network Test Facility at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
Placement on the APL provides assessment results and risk information that mission owning Authorizing Officials (AO) can leverage when authorizing a system for use. Following this testing and placement on the APL, other federal agencies, state and local governments, and enterprises and organizations around the globe can also leverage the results of the testing to ensure that OpenScape Voice offers the interoperability and security they require.
