Unify to Deliver Communications and Collaboration Solutions to Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine of the State University of New York
Scalable and mobile UC solution to provide advanced collaboration capabilities for over 60,000 users
Unify, a leading communications software and services firm, today today announced Stony Brook University and Stony Brook University Hospital of the State University of New York have selected OpenScape Voice, UC and Contact Center to support its more than 60,000 users across more than 50 locations. Following an 18 month evaluation process, Stony Brook selected OpenScape for its carrier-class reliability, integration flexibility, scalability, low total cost of ownership and advanced collaboration capabilities.

Stony Brook will deploy OpenScape Voice, UC, and Web Collaboration to deliver mobile unified communications and collaboration for over 60,000 users across more than 50 locations, including university staff, professors and students plus hospital staff, physicians and nurses. OpenScape Contact Center will also be used by nearly 500 agents at both the university and hospital to serve student, patient and alumni needs.
With OpenScape, Stony Brook is able to consolidate multiple disparate systems into a single, highly scalable and reliable solution, resulting in significant cost savings. Unify will deploy a single platform offering communications features such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones and desktop integration with soft phones, as well as a rich set of collaboration tools including audio, video and web conferencing, instant messaging, presence and one-number service.
